Arabic Pronouns (الضمائر)
Pronouns in Arabic are used extensively in the Quran. They are divided into detached (standalone) and attached (suffixes) pronouns.
Detached Pronouns

| هُوَ | Huwa | He |
| هِيَ | Hiya | She |

Attached Pronouns (Suffixes)
These attach to nouns, verbs, and prepositions:
- -ي (ī) = my → كِتَابِي (kitābī) = my book
- -كَ (ka) = your (m) → كِتَابُكَ (kitābuka) = your book
- -هُ (hu) = his → كِتَابُهُ (kitābuhu) = his book
- -هَا (hā) = her → كِتَابُهَا (kitābuhā) = her book
